About the event

Driven by the powerful idea of not throwing away anything for one year, she embarks on an adventure filled with challenges and triumphs as she learns to recycle, compost, and manage the waste that cannot be disposed of.

The film is a personal challenge and a profound exploration of the sustainability movement. Inspired by pioneers like Kathryn Kellogg, who have managed years of waste in mere mason jars, this film dives into Zero Waste and the messy truths of living clean.

Can the film achieve its goal of living Zero Waste for one year?

Winner of the 2022 Chesapeake Film Festival's Best Environmental Documentary, which is shown at 29 film festivals domestically and internationally, watch the journey unfold on the big screen. Afterward, engage in a dialogue with filmmaker Heather Gustafson about how to make the world cleaner!
